About the Project

AGEFORCE is an innovative project that empowers older adults to take an active role in shaping initiatives that enhance their participation in physical activity. By applying a bottom-up, citizen engagement approach grounded in participatory citizen science, the project enables seniors to co-design both digital and offline solutions tailored to their needs, from training programmes and community activities to virtual platforms and tele-coaching services. Through this collaborative process, AGEFORCE also lays the foundation for a Pan-European Citizen Science Hub on Active Ageing, fostering Communities of Interest that support long-term engagement and social inclusion.

Focusing on individuals aged 65+, AGEFORCE aims to integrate physical activity into everyday life in a way that is accessible, enjoyable, and adaptable to different abilities. The project promotes inclusive and flexible approaches that ensure all older adults can participate, regardless of potential limitations, while enhancing their mobility, confidence, and overall quality of life. By combining community-driven innovation with supportive environments and tailored tools, AGEFORCE contributes to healthier, more active, and socially connected ageing across Europe.
